Thymosin Beta 4

THYMOSIN BETA 4

Thymosin Beta 4 is a peptide, which  the thymus gland produces naturally. It is one of several polypeptide hormones the Thymus secrets that controls the maturation of T-cells, which is extremely important part of the immune system. In addition, Thymosin assists in the development of B cells to plasma cells to produce antibodies. The main form of Thymosin is a member of a highly conserved family of actin monomer-sequestering proteins.

In addition to its role as a major actin-sequestering molecule, Thymosin plays a role in tissue repair. T4 is known to play an important role in protection, regeneration and remodeling of injured or damaged tissues. Hence the gene for T4 is one of the first to be upregulated after injuries. Subsequently, Thymosin Beta 4 is currently in trials as a potential therapy for HIV, AIDS, and Influenza.

Thymosin is mostly prescribed for acute injury, surgical repair and for senior athletes. However this can also enhance muscle growth, tone, and stamina. Although this peptide has numerous benefits, which range from muscle development, and improvement of connective tissues to improve flexibility, it also prevents the formation of fibrous band formation in body tissues.

Uses for it include:

  • Arthritis
  • Blood Clots
  • Soft Tissue damage
  • Autoimmune disease
  • Tramatic Brain injury
  • Lyme disease
  • Muscular Health
  • Promotes blood vessel formation

Other benefits include:

  • Calming of muscle spasms
  • Improving muscle tone
  • Increasing the exchange of substances between cells
  • Encourages tissue repair
  • Maintaining flexibility
  • Reducing inflammation of tissue in joints
  • Promotes the growth of new blood cells in tissues
  • Increases the body’s endurance and strength
  • Prevents the formation of adhesions and fibrous bands in muscles, tendons, and ligament
